Releasing more Odia movies in big theaters can create good ambiance for viewers: Actress Bhoomika Dash
The Actress says, "If we make good contents and release them in big theatres, giving viewers some good ambiance then there is a chance, viewers will watch our movies.
Bhoomika Dash, who happens to be the youngest Ollywood actress, has achieved milestones from her very initial years in the industry.
In a recent interview, Bhoomika talked about releasing more Odia movies in big theatres.
“Very few movies release in a big theatre like Inox, cinepolis, etc and the rest release in average and unorganized film halls where the audience doesn’t get a chance to enjoy the ambiance of the movies. That’s one of the reasons, why many people hesitate to go and watch movies in halls,” Bhoomika said.
“Although Odisha has only 100-150 film halls there are many halls which are unorganised. Due to this, the audience avoid going to movie halls. If we present our movies in a good atmosphere then only people will show their interests to watch or else they will prefer to watch movies sitting in their homes, “she added.
On being asked about the content of the Industry, Bhoomika replied, “The Industry always gets blamed for one-two movies. I won’t say it’s the audience who have already made up in their minds that the movie would be the same if given a chance to comment on the movies. ”
“Even if the movies are remade, they are represented with their own technology and flavours. It might be technically or even contentwise but the industry is developing and growing too, for a change. It would be quite encouraging if people go watch the movies and give their reviews. I personally believe that it will take time but am hoping that if the audience will watch and share their reviews then there will be an evolution in the film industry.”
Bhoomika stepped into the Ollywood Industry as a child actress in movies like-Rumku Jhumana-2013, Paribeni Kehi Alaga Kari-2013, Gapa Helebi Sata-2015. Later, she made her debut as a lead actress in the film-Tu mo love story-2017. Then she went on the road with movies like Hero no one-2017, Sriman Surdas-2018, Nayakara Na Devdas-2019, Tu mo love story(2) -2019.
“It was not that easy to start a career as a child artist. At the times when students used to go home from school and do their homework, I carried my books with me to my shooting set,” said Bhoomika.

She further added, “Where I am today is because of my parents. Without there support, I couldn’t have succeeded in my career. My mother used to handle my academic work and my father traveled with me wherever I went for a shoot.”

“The thing which helped me in my acting career is, as I used to perform a dance on stages. I never dealt with the camera-fear and as I am focused on whatever I do I give my 100% to whatever challenges come on my way,” She said.
At the time when people felt restless inside their homes because of the lockdown and shutdown scenario, Bhoomika utilized the time experimenting with new and trending things.

Apart from studying 12-13 hours per day and preparing for the NEET exam, the actress who is enthusiastic about improving herself in every field, tried dalgona coffee and learned to make kara pitha, roti etc during this pandemic time.

“Best part after the lockdown was, I got back-to-back offers for six movies that are new and unique,” Bhoomika revealed.
Looking at academics, Bhoomika did her schooling in D.A.V Public School, Unit-8, Bhubaneswar. After completing her higher secondary education, she is now pursuing her Bachelors at the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital. Being a scholar student and a trained classical dancer, the actress loves to participate in debates. She also shares interests in painting, swimming and playing badminton.
This year, Bhoomika will be seen doing different roles in her upcoming movies which would be opposite from her age and personality. You will see her in characters ranging from an old lady to a drug addict and a mute girl.
“As I always choose scripts which will help me grow acting-wise as well as give good content to the audience, this year I have a series of surprises for my fans.” said an excited Bhoomika.

Notably, Bhoomika is the first young Ollywood actress who has verified her Facebook Account.
